Biovalrodin Drug Information

Bivalirudin is a synthetic residue 20 peptide that is an anticoagulant (thrombin inhibitor) and helps prevent the formation of harmful clots. Bivalirudin is useful for the treatment of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, thrombosis prevention, and use in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (PCI). Bivalirudin is prescribed to patients with moderate to high-risk acute coronary syndrome due to unstable angina.
